A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Your story begins at the end of ours.
The sky is dark. Its once beautiful clouds and endless blue now consumed by a sea of malice.
There is no flora or fauna to be seen. Only strange and unearthly creatures known as Mazes that plague the mysterious realm of shadow.
Your fellow humans litter the ground at your feet, their bodies withered and beginning to decay, despite showing unmistakable signs of life.
The world is nearly gone, but you're just getting started.
You remember nothing.
Almost nothing.
You remember a voice. It is faint, but you latch onto it. You crave the information it promises. You know it has the answers you seek.
One phrase forces its way to the front of your mind.
"Go to her."
The end is only the beginning, and your beginning is now.
What will you make of it?

Hey, it's me Kyon Sun. I figured I'd post my review here. Just wanna say that the game is looking great so far. I really enjoyed the unique and mysterious setting. My favorite part of the demo was when I was facing the Rulemaster. Great design of the Rulemaster btw. Pixel Art is very clean and lovely. It was interesting to see more of the lore in that battle.

A couple criticisms I have with the game. Sometimes it can be hard to read the text because it blends in with the background. Another thing I noticed (and I'm not sure if it's just my computer) is that sometimes the game will freeze. Whenever I exit the window and go right back in, the game will freeze and I'll have to restart the game. It would also be nice if there was some kind of menu that reminds the player which button does what. Through my play through I got a little confused as I'd never used the greater or less than signs before in an rpg game. I'm so used to the x button for the menu. Something else is the maze section. While I do like the concept of the maze obscuring the player's view, I think there should be some kind of warning in the game for people with photosensitive epilepsy. I don't have it but the flashing screen was making my eyes strain a little bit. The boss battle was also interesting. It's a little bit confusing sometimes on how certain questions hurts him instead of you. I'm guessing that the questions that anger/irritate him hurts him and questions that don't hurt the player.

Anyway, the atmosphere of the game is really good as well. It's got a creepy horror aesthetic to it. I especially like it when the player smiles when he goes into the "dream" state. (I'm still confused on how he can do that). It's makes me feel uncomfortable in a good way. Sound and screen filter are also really effective. Makes the game have a great eerie tone. It's quite a unique game in the rpg community. I'd like to see more puzzles with the "dream" state thing. It reminds me of games such as "close your eyes". Very creepy.

One thing I really liked about the game was the "dream" mechanic thing. I'm not sure how what this is exactly but it's a lot of fun to play around with. Didn't figure out the combination code though lol. So far, the story seems to be about the Rulemaster creating these things? (humans)? Some make it some don't. If any of them leave, he kills them. I'm interested to see who this "her" is.

I'm gonna go on a limb here but I think the voices are (us or you)? in the game. I'm only guessing cause the Rulemaster mentioned that they were gods.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens next. Good Luck to you on completing your (first?) game. I hope it gets more attention.
